The Mac-Haydn Theatre

During the summer of 2011, i was a carpenter at the Mac-Haydn Theatre. As a carpenter I was responsible for for the construction and loading in of scenery for a seven musical season. In addition to scenery I also helped with the construction of properties, aided with electrics, and some general theatre maintenance.

Don Giovanni

During the summer of 2012, I was a Technical intern at the Wolf Trap Opera Company. I helped with the construction of scenery, load in, and strike for a two opera season. Additionally I served as run crew for all performances.

One project that I was tasked with, for the set of Don Giovanni , was the construction of a stair unit that appeared, to the audience, to be floating in mid air. the stairs had to be strong enough to support several cast members at a time and be built in separate pieces so that it could be broken down for transportation. Other parts of the set that I worked on included the large steel panels that slid back and forth on a track and served as projection surfaces.

A Rake's Progress

For the production of A Rake's Progress, I primarily helped with the construction of the raked stage, the side and back walls, the off stage run offs, and the large clock on the upstage wall.
