Gus Redmond

Gus is graduate of Juniata College in Huntingdon Pennsylvania. He studied technical theatre and design. This website documents the projects and career of Mr. Redmond. 

Gus is a theatre technician. He is an experienced carpenter having worked on many different projects since he was young. at the age of 14 he started taking classes at Montgomery Community College to learn how to weld. Since then he has taken five semesters of welding 1 and 2, learning how to use stick and mig welders as well as oxy-acetylene torches.

Gus has worked as a carpenter at the Mac-Haydn Theatre Inc. in Chatham NY, in the summer of 2011. For the summer of 2012, Gus was a technical intern at The Wolf Trap Opera Company in Vienna VA. Gus spent his 2013 summer as the scene shop apprentice for the Santa Fe Opera Company. He returned to wolftrap as a Carpenter for the summer of 2014. While in college he held two on-campus jobs including an associates position with the Halbritter Technical Crew.

In the spring of 2014 Gus designed the set for the Juniata Theatre's performance of The Importance of Being Earnest for his senior capstone. this project was the first performance the Gus has designed completely on his own.

in December 2012 Gus helped to come up with the concept for a zombie movie that juniata students wrote, filmed, and edited. the movie, Showtime, was submitted to the Electronic Theatre Control's competition where it won first prize.
